Shipping Rates and Delivery Times

Ichiban Parts ships through trusted carriers including Purolator, UPS, FedEx, and Canpar.

Shipping costs are calculated based on your order’s size, weight, destination, and available carrier options. Estimated delivery options and rates will be shown at checkout before your order is placed.

Estimated Delivery Timeframes

For in-stock items shipping from our Canadian warehouse network, estimated delivery times are generally:

These estimates do not include order processing time, which is typically 1–2 business days. Special order items, supplier-direct items, oversized products, and items shipping from external warehouses may require additional time.

Accuracy of Online Shipping Quotes

Shipping rates shown at checkout are estimates based on standard carrier pricing. While we work to keep these quotes accurate, certain products may require a revised shipping quote due to size, weight, destination, or carrier surcharges.

If the actual shipping cost is significantly different from the online quote, Ichiban Parts may contact you before processing the order. You will have the option to:

Accept the updated shipping cost and continue with your order.
Cancel the order and receive a full refund.

We will always do our best to communicate any shipping adjustments clearly before moving forward.

Free Shipping

Free shipping is available on most qualifying orders over $399 CAD in Canada or $199 USD in the United States. If your order qualifies, the free shipping option will appear at checkout.

Free shipping excludes oversized items and shipments to remote locations.

For the purposes of this policy, an oversized item generally means any product with at least one dimension over 50 inches or a weight over 60 lbs. Remote locations include areas with limited carrier access where additional surcharges may apply.

Oversized handling fees may be calculated at checkout. If additional carrier surcharges apply beyond the amount shown online, Ichiban Parts may contact you with an updated shipping quote before processing your order.

If free shipping is applied due to a website error, checkout issue, or oversight, and the order does not qualify, Ichiban Parts reserves the right to remove the free shipping offer. In that case, we will contact you with a shipping quote for approval. You may choose to proceed with the updated shipping charge or cancel the order for a full refund.

For orders using free shipping, Ichiban Parts reserves the right to choose the most suitable and economical carrier, including Purolator, UPS, FedEx, or Canpar.

Ichiban Parts may update or change its free shipping policy at any time without prior notice.

Freight and Oversized Item Policy

Some oversized, heavy, or specialty items may require freight shipping instead of standard parcel shipping. An oversized item generally means any product with at least one dimension over 50 inches or a weight over 60 lbs. Ichiban Parts selects freight carriers based on destination coverage, carrier availability, product size, and the most competitive shipping option available at the time of order.

If an item is considered oversized or overweight under our shipping policy, the shipping cost may not be finalized at checkout. In these cases, freight pricing will be quoted separately before the order is shipped.

Ichiban Parts will contact the customer with any additional freight charges, oversized item fees, or special handling costs before shipment. The customer may choose to approve the updated shipping quote or cancel the order for a refund if the order has not yet shipped or entered final fulfillment.

Manufacturer Direct Shipments

Certain products may ship directly from the Canadian-based manufacturer when stock is temporarily unavailable at our warehouse locations.

When this applies, additional fees and freight charges may be assessed and will be communicated prior to shipment. Shipping timelines, available carriers, freight charges, and delivery requirements may vary depending on the manufacturer, supplier, product type, and destination.

Oversized Item Surcharges

Certain large, heavy, or specialty items may be subject to additional freight surcharges. These charges help cover the increased cost of handling and transporting oversized products.

Tailgate Service

Tailgate service is available at a flat rate of $75.00 for customers who do not have a loading dock or forklift available on-site.

Tailgate service is required for skid shipments being delivered to locations without proper unloading equipment.

Manufacturer Direct and Supplier Warehouse Shipments

Oversized items, freight items, and special order products may ship directly from the manufacturer, distributor, or supplier warehouse when the item is not in stock at Ichiban Parts.

In these cases, shipping timelines, available carriers, freight charges, and delivery requirements may vary based on the manufacturer or supplier’s shipping process. Ichiban Parts will provide available shipping information when possible, but some freight details may only be confirmed once the order is processed with the supplier.

Manufacturer Defect Return Freight

Return freight for manufacturer defect claims is not covered by Ichiban Parts unless otherwise stated or approved in writing.

Warranty-related freight costs may vary depending on the manufacturer’s policy, the product type, and the nature of the claim.

Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut

Orders shipping to Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut are shipped freight collect.

The customer is responsible for all freight charges at the time of delivery.

International Shipping

Ichiban Parts offers international shipping to many locations. International orders may be subject to customs fees, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or other import-related charges. These costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Order Processing and Shipping Time

In-stock orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. This is an estimate, not a guarantee. Processing may take longer during high-volume periods, supplier delays, courier schedule changes, or other logistical issues.

Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.

If one or more items in your order are not currently in stock, Ichiban Parts will contact you with an estimated availability or shipping timeline.

Order Tracking

Once your order ships, tracking information will be sent by email and may also be available in your customer account. Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not see your tracking email.

Customers may receive updates at key points throughout the shipping process.

Shipping Restrictions

Ichiban Parts does not ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

Some products may be restricted from shipping due to size, weight, hazardous material classification, carrier limitations, or legal restrictions.

Ichiban Parts reserves the right to refuse shipment of any order that cannot be shipped safely or legally.

Product Availability and Order Confirmation

Ichiban Parts works to keep product availability and estimated timelines as accurate as possible. However, inventory may change due to supplier updates, simultaneous purchases, discontinued products, or delays outside of our control.

If your order is urgent, we recommend contacting us before placing your order so we can confirm product availability and provide the most accurate shipping estimate possible.

Within 48 hours of placing your order, we may confirm item availability and provide an estimated time of arrival when needed. This helps ensure you have the most accurate information before your order is fulfilled.

Shipping Protection

Ichiban Parts may offer optional Shipping Protection at checkout for added peace of mind. Shipping Protection can help cover eligible loss, damage, or theft during transit and may allow for a faster resolution through replacement, store credit, or another approved solution.
